Timeline

This timeline outlines the planned development of the Southwest Chamber of Commerce:

• Business Breakfast
  June 23, 2026
  Our very first event and launch of the Southwest Chamber of Commerce
   
• Monthly Members Meetings
  June-November 2026
  During a 180-day startup period, chamber members will meet on a regular cadence — such as third Tuesdays — to collaborate on and approve the chamber's foundational documents, operations, governance, priorities, committees and action plan.
   
• Full-Term Officer and Director Elections
  December 2026
  At the conclusion of the 180-day startup period, chamber members will vote for full-term leadership following conclusion of pro tem service from founding directors and officers.

Ongoing Activities

The chamber anticipates ongoing monthly members meetings augmented with informative presentations, guest speakers and helpful workshops.

The chamber also hopes to produce events accessible to all area businesses in addition to chamber members, and collaborate with local organizations, officials and institutions toward programs and events that support a thriving Southwest Side.
